Writercise: Insanity Max 30, Day 2
'Your body is your equipment'. If you say so, Shaun. YES HE DOES SAY SO AND YOU WILL DO WHATEVER HE TELLS YOU. 'We don't lift weights in Max 30, we lift us'. Um, you might wanna work on that one, Shaun.
Day 2 of Insanity Max 30 is Tabata Power. Various rounds of cardio moves, 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off, how hard can it be? Um, maybe don't answer that. I can feel a difference already in the physicality of the workouts. IM30 is definitely a step up from T25 and others like it. Did 10min after-cardio yoga to stretch out. (I started yoga during lockdown, first time trying it out, and have been completely won over by how effective it is.)
30 minutes of exercise will take at least 40 minutes out of your schedule (hey, you gotta change & shower, right?). So if you're looking to incorporate exercise into your daily routine, then always add about 10 minutes on to however long you think it will take. Even if it's just a 15 minute walk around the block; there's gonna be a bit of procrastination beforehand, or distraction while you're out, and a half hour can whiz by easy.
When I work from home, as I am now, I do about 30 or 40mins of exercise but allow up to an hour for the faff it takes. Allocating this time really helps to break up the day (my mornings are the most intensely-focused) and helps me stay creative and refreshed.
