Hi, I'm a writer and director specialising in the kids / family genre. My writing / directing debut (in collaboration with Tim Clague) was the live-action family film Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg? It had its world premiere at the London Film Festival in October 2015. Our second live-action family film is the sci-fi adventure, Future TX, which was released in UK & US cinemas in 2022/23. My collaboration with Tim continues with Nelson Nutmeg Pictures and UK Scriptwriters (books, podcasts). Previously, I directed a number of shorts, most notably my supernatural thriller Origin which won Best Horror Short at the London Independent Film Festival in 2012.

For most of the noughties, I was an industry script reader (Miramax, Working Title, UK Film Council, Pathe, to name but a few) and I've developed a passionate insight into the scriptwriting process. As a result, I work as a freelance script consultant, and am regularly invited to schools, workshops and universities as a guest speaker. In 2007, I helped set up the Red Planet Prize, which champions new writing talent, and I am often involved in mentoring and various new talent schemes.
